A few weeks ago, a wonderful patient (let's call her T) sent me a link to an auction online for a retiring ophthalmologist in Manassas, Virginia. As a cold start practice, I have next to nothing to see patients, and equipment costs are insane. Every piece of equipment is worth more than my car. So, I start bidding. My adrenaline was off the charts. I was sweating, but I won everything I wanted! I was able to get so many pieces of equipment for much lower prices! A huge shout out to T for the link, my mom for going on the car ride with me to pick all of the equipment up, and my brother-in-law for letting me use his SUV. The support from everyone along this journey has been incredible. Thank you all so much!
