The Important Details

Need to schedule an appointment? Here is some info you might find useful!
**********LOCATION**********
I am currently seeing patients at Visionworks in Rosedale at the Golden Ring Plaza 8652 Pulaski Hwy, Suite A Rosedale, MD 21237 T: 410-391-5265 F: 410-391-7805
If you put the above address into Google, it may take you across the street where the U-Haul is located. We are NOT by the U-Haul. We are next to Chipotle, Hook and Reel, and Tropical Smoothie, on the same side of the road as Panera and Walmart.
***********SCHEDULE***********
I work Monday to Thursday and every other Friday. If you schedule on a weekend, I will not be your doctor. You can always call to confirm, however it is much easier to schedule online.
I am currently booking out into March. The book opens only a few weeks in advance, so it is not possible to book something a few months out. Our system automatically cancels any unconfirmed appointments 48 hours prior, so if you need something sooner, try logging onto the website first thing in the morning to see if there are any openings for two days in the future. I can also look at the schedule for you if you contact me directly.
**********INSURANCE AND PAYMENTS**********
We take all major vision insurance plans, however, we are out of network with Eyemed. With that being said, they typically allow us to see their patients at no additional cost to you. In the last two months, I have only ever had this be a problem once, but have seen a ton of Eyemed patients.
If we do not take your insurance, I can quote you a cost for your exam. (Contact lens exam extra)
If you all have seen me before, you know eye exams are more than just a glasses or contact lens prescription. You will get a thorough health check of the eyes (and body through the eyes). If you do not feel comfortable being dilated, as many of you are driving a ways to see me (THANK YOU!), we do offer Optos, a wide field camera to photograph the retina, optic nerve, and macula. This is not covered by insurance, but is only $25 (as of 1/21/23, subject to change)
**********RECORDS**********
I have received a lot of questions about old records being transferred.
Every patient should bring the following to their appointment: -A list of current medications -A list of past surgeries -Current glasses -Current CL rx -Insurance card (or insurance information) and ID
My move has been difficult for everyone, and I do not want to put any additional strain on the staff at my old office if it isn't necessary. I can let you know individually if I would like your old records, but please request records if:
-You are a scleral contact lens wearer -You have had difficulty with glasses prescription changes in the past, are sensitive to small changes or lens materials, etc -We spent time finding the exact contact lens brand or prescription for you (I'm looking at you Multifocal contact lens wearers) -The patient is under the age of 10 -The patient has an extensive ocular disease history (on multiple medications or has had multiple eye procedures such as surgery, punctual plugs, prokera, etc)
**********FUTURE**********
Yes, I do plan on coming back to Harford County. I have been working on my own practice, but finding the right property has been difficult, as I am very restricted due to my non-compete. The FTC is working on voiding all non-competes at the federal level, however, it takes time.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
